SHORT DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE: The theme of the course is TECHNOLOGY and SCIENCE. In grammar and structures we shall deal with important structures such as infinitives, ING-forms and THAT-clauses. We shall also take a close look at words of quantity, NUMBERS / NUMERALS and expressions of time.

We shall meet 11 (eleven) times on Mondays and Wednesdays at 17.00 – 18.20 in classroom 31 and also - if you choose so - on GoogleMeet online as follows:

HOME ASSIGNMENT: WRITTEN ASSIGNMENT (700 - 1,300 characters): Write a composition of 700 - 1,300 characters on ONE of the topics on pages 145 - 147. DEADLINE: on March 23rd, 2026

DIGITAL EXAM in class room 31 on Wednesday, April 8th, 2026 at 17.00 – 21.00 hours:

The exam consists of the following parts:

1) listening comprehension test
2) written part: a) RC / reading comprehension b) MC / multiple choice c) Grammar: 1) infinitives, ING-forms and THAT-clauses, 2) words of quantity, 3) numbers / numerals 4) expressions of time
3) Translations and vocabulary on the texts that we have dealt with during the course
4) Composition of 700 – 1,300 characters

THE GRADE ON COURSE 5 CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING:

1) LC exam & written exam at 17.00 – 21.00 hours on April 8th, 2026
2) Home Assignment (+)
3) Activity during the lessons (+)

You will have your exams back on your e-mail, but I shall be available for questions in classroom 31, at 16.00 – 17.30 hours on Friday, April 24th, 2026.

RETAKE EXAM: at 17.00 – 20.05 hours on Friday, May 8th, 2026
