1. There's nothing to be ashamed of if you can't find a summer job. 2. Volunteering might be as beneficial to/for you in the long run. 3. The most important factor is that you feel motivated and committed to what you're doing. 4. Is this advice consistent with what you've been given in the past? 5. Contrary to what most students believe, any kind of work experience is beneficial. 6. It's not fair to be discriminated against in the job market only because of your age. 7. Are you envious of your friends who have already landed themselves a summer job? 8. How about walking the neighbourhood dogs? You don't have to be fond of animals to do it, just open to new experiences. 9. I'm really hopeless at promoting myself and my skills, however. 10.
