Taking action for a green school
Dear partners
After the common investigation, the brainstorming activities and the green actions we have taken as a school, we are still wondering: " Are we a green school?"
The answer is not simple.What we certainly know is that, as a school we have adopted a lot of eco- friendly activities at a daily basis. We are all trying to make children develop a more sensitive attitude towards the problems human factor has caused to the environment.
It is so nice and comforting, at the same time to see that our partner schools share the same activities more or less. We all face the same problems with no easy solutions. At least we have all managed to activate our pupils towards a greener direction as a first step: saving energy by turning off the lights and the computers when we don't need them, saving water in any possible way, participating in recycling campaigns, walking or using our bikes,growing our own vegetables, reusing old, "useless" things and a lot more!
What's important for us now is to maintain these green actions , adopt what is new for us and try to develop an eco-friendly attitude in our daily routine.
You can watch some of the Greek pupils' activities in the following links. I tried to show some of our green activities in 3 videos in order to be watched by the children of our schools in a more pleasant way.
