How to register a Peda.net-count.

You can deploy a personal profile space service by registering into Peda.net service. To register into Peda.net, please go here and follow the directions.

What is your personal profile space (referred as PPS here):

PPS is a personal learning environment, that is controlled by a learner
Learner has a possibility to network with other users, share and publish content and maintain a personal portfolio
Learner can edit his/her PPS
PPS is a part of a new Peda.net service
PPS is developed in a cooperation of Finnish National Board of Education, city of Jyväskylä and university of Jyväskylä.

Why should I get PPS?

PPS is established for a life-time as long as the service is maintained by the university of Jyväskylä.
PPS combines the formal learning with informal learning outside the conventional learning environments.
Learner has an access to all the content ever created to his or her PPS, thus maintaining the created data accumulated during the study path.

What does it cost?

PPS is completely free of charge

How about the hardware and software requirements?

PPS is not dependent upon a hardware nor software, and it does not require any additional software installations.

Using PPS does not have an age limit, but children under 15 years must have a guardian's permission when registering to Peda.net and deploying their own PPS.
