Group 4: History - Building a bridge between our histories

History - Building a bridge between our histories

How much we, Finnish and German people have in common? We can start to build the bridge between us finding when and where our pasts intertwine together.

  1. Research the history of Finland and Germany. You can find easily events and different eras of our histories when we had some kind of a connection between our countries: for example Hanseatic League, Protestant Reformation and Second World War.
  1. You can decide yourself what event, era, etc. you want to study. The most important thing is that you find a connection from our history and think for example how that event shaped us both (for example did this event leave a permanent mark in our cultures).
  1. Prepare a presentation where you tell others about the event or era you decided to study and where you explain how it shaped us. Your presentation can be whatever you like: typical PowerPoint-presentation, a short-film, a play or something totally different.
