15 Mutiny

Vinkkejä avotehtävää varten!

1) annettu pelkkä SANALUOKKA, esim. "PREPOSITIO" tai ”PRONOMINI”.

- Hahmota koko virke ympäriltä. Mikä on merkitys suomeksi? Onko kyseessä esim. PREPOSITIORAKENNE ("IN charge OF"), joka vaatii tietyn preposition? Tai onko kyseessä esim. ajan ilmaisu: "IN the 1970s"?

- pronomineista esimerkki voisi olla vaikka ”JONKA”, joka on tunnistettava OMISTUSmuodoksi (WHOSE) tai ”JOISTA YKSI”, joka vaatii OF-rakenteen (ONE OF WHOM (ihminen) / ”ONE OF WHICH” (asia/esine)),

2) annettu ENGLANNINKIELINEN SANA, esim. verbi ”TAKE”

- Tässä haetaan usein oikeaa MUOTOA ja se vaatii LAUSERAKENTEEN hahmottamista.

- Kyseessä voi olla esim. tietty aikamuoto (TAKE, TOOK, HAVE/HAS TAKEN, HAD TAKEN, WILL TAKE), konditinaali (WOULD/COULD SHOULD TAKE), infinitiivi (TO TAKE), ing-muoto (TAKING), passiivi (IS TAKEN, WAS TAKEN). lauseenvastike (TAKING, (Having) TAKEN)... tämä vaatii tarkkuutta!!

3) annettu SUOMENKIELINEN VIHJE

- tässä voidaan hakea OIKEAA Sanaa tai OIKEAA KIRJOITUSASUA

- Jos kyseessä on USEAMMAN SANAN FRAASI, ole tarkkana ”PIKKUSANOJEN” kanssa, esim. ”Vuosisadan loppuun mennessä” = ”BY THE end OF THE century”.

-Artikkelit ja prepositiot unohtuvat helposti!!

4) (EI VINKKIÄ)

- ei tarkoita, ettei aukkoon tule mitään vastausta, vaan että SE ON PÄÄTELTÄVÄ ITSE

- varsin usein kyseessä on esim. artikkeli tai prepositio, mutta se voi olla muukin sana tai ilmaisu

- vaatii jälleen LAUSERAKENTEEN hahmottamista ja lauseen MERKITYKSEN ymmärtämistä

At the beginning of April 1789, HMS Bounty left Tahiti, 15.1. (CARRY, 1p) plants to the West Indies. The ship had been in Tahiti since the previous autumn, and the crew had amused 15.2. (PRONOMINI, 1p) in the sunshine with the local women. But as they ploughed through 15.3. (TYYNIMERI, 1p) they chafed at the restoration of discipline under the captain, William Bligh. By the night of 27 April, his old friend Fletcher Christian had decided to act.

In the early hours of the following morning, Christian and 15.4. (MUUTAMA, 1p) allies secured the upper deck and armed themselves with muskets. Some time after five o’clock, Christian led them to Bligh’s cabin. 15.5. (PREPOSITIO, 1p) his own account, the captain “called 15.6. The carpenter’s mates wanted to go too, but Christian 15.13. (FORBID) it. “Never fear lads,” Bligh said. “I’ll do you 15.14. (OIKEUS, 1p) if ever I reach England.”

Bligh 15.15. (VERBI, 1p) reach England, months later. But the mutineers’ fate was wretched. Many were captured, others killed. Christian was killed on Pitcairn in 1793.
