Accommodation in Sydney. There's many great places to stay in Sydney, but here's three best options in my opinion:

1. Original Backpackers Sudney

The hostel is located close to shops, cafes, restaurants, nightclubs, dance festivals. Just 2 minutes from Kings Cross railway station. So public transport to anywhere is easy. The hostel includes:
  • Free Wi-Fi 1000 MB's per day, full coverage all around the hostel
  • Large modern TV room with Netflix and Cable TV (Fox/Sky)
  • FREE Tea and Coffee all day
  • Large sunny, friendly courtyard with two large BBQ's. Plus a Table Tennis room.
  • Lockers in every dorm
  • Laundry facilities with new washers and dryers
  • Free luggage storage on day of check out
  • Large modern fully equipped kitchen with 2 commercial sized ovens and a purpose built outdoor cooking area
  • 24 hour check in & reception
Price: The prices may vary from $24 to $80.

This hostel seems enjoyable, clean and affordable place to stay at. The hostel also includes:

  • Free Wi-Fi
The hostel offers Double-, Double with ensuite, King Sized Bed and Triple rooms. The hostel offers activities for each weekday too. The hostel is near Tumbalong Bay, many different kind of shops and parks. There isn't too long drive anywhere in Sydney from the hostel.

What sort of things should you pack for Australia? How much luggage can you take?

What you should pack for Australia depends on the season and on the weather, but if we were to imagine, it'd be summer, then you should pack these things:
  • Hat (extremely important if your skin burns easily)
  • Sandals (I would not recommend wearing your warmest winter shoes in this country)
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen
  • Swimmers/bathing suit
  • Allergy pills
  • Personal medication and hygiene products
  • Motion sickness pills
  • Universal adaptor
  • Water bottle
  • Visa
  • Travel insurance
  • Travel money card

In Sydney, you can use public transportation quite well. Sydney's public transport system features a comprehensive network of train, bus and ferry services. Light rail lines, airport links, sightseeing buses and taxi services complement the network.

Opal Card
-You can get a free smartcard ticket to load funds for use on trains, buses, ferries and light rail.

Train stations
-in central Sydney include Central, Museum, St James, Town Hall, Wynyard, Circular Quay, Martin Place and Kings Cross.

Taxi
-Taxis in Sydney can be hailed from the kerb on the street or engaged at one of several designated taxi ranks throughout the city centre.

Light rail
-Transdev operates the CBD and South East light rail, connecting Circular Quay to Randwick, with services operating daily from 5am to 1am.

Buses
-Sydney buses travel through the city and beyond almost 24 hours a day. Most of the bus routes within the City of Sydney are prepaid only to reduce delays, so you'll need to buy a ticket before you get on board.
