Assessment frameworks

Assessment frameworks

Assessment frameworks define the goals and criteria of assessments. They are necessary for the implementation of assessment modules. Assessment frameworks can be created for all mid- and top-level pages.

Assessment frameworks are used to define the goals and evaluation criteria of different assessments. Organizations can create universal assessment frameworks that can be used by all teachers, regardless of their subject. In addition, teachers can also create their own assessment frameworks.

Creating, publishing and modifying assessment frameworks:

The following instructions go through the process of creating, publishing and modifying assessment frameworks.
  1. To create a new assessment framework, you must click on the “Assessment frameworks” link on the bottom of the page’s navigation menu (on the left side of the screen). If such a link is not visible, the page is not a mid or top-level page, and assessment frameworks cannot be added to it.
  2. Click on the “Create new framework” button.
  3. Give your assessment framework a descriptive title (e.g. the name of the subject). Click “Save”.
  4. Add goals to the assessment framework by clicking on the “Add a new goal” button.
  5. The goals of an assessment framework can be derived from the national curriculum, the school’s syllabus or the goals of a specific project. An assessment framework can contain many different goals.
  6. Criteria for achieving the goals can be added by clicking on the “Add a new criteria” button. Both goals and criteria should be descriptive and easy to understand. When you are finished, remember to click “Save”
  7. Repeat the steps 4-6 to add additional goals and criteria to your assessment framework. You also can change the order of goals and their criteria by clicking on their respective ”Organize” buttons.
  8. When your assessment framework is ready, you must publish it by clicking on “Publishing assessment framework”. Please note that after publishing an assessment framework, you can still modify it, but you can no longer delete individual goals or criteria.
