Arriving to Jyväskylä

The easiest way to arrive is to take a flight to Helsinki Airport and from there a train connection to Jyväskylä. First step is to take a commuter train and then change to a long distance train in Tikkurila. All connections you can find here.

We highly recommed you to stay in hotel Yöpuu (address: Yliopistonkatu 23). Rooms may be booked over booking.com or directly from the hotel. If there are no rooms left, then other good options are f. ex. hotel Verso or Sokos hotel Alexandra in the city centre. 

After you have arrived, you can eat dinner on your own or we can book a table for us. Please let us know well in advance, if you would like to have dinner together.

Thursday 29th of Sep - day 1

We will have our meeting at Savutuvan apaja. It takes about 20 minutes by car from the hotel. We'll meet at 9:30 o'clock at the reception of hotel Yöpuu and go together to Savutuvan apaja.

15:00-17:00	Possibility to visit Sataman Viilu saunas	Please take your swimming suits with you, this is a common sauna for women and men. Towels, soap and shampoo are there ready for you.
19:30-21:00	Dinner at Kirkkopuiston bistro.	Please let us know beforehand, if you prefer meat / fish or vegetarian option. 3 dish menu 55 €/person + drinks depending your order. Everyone pays by him/herself.
21:00-	Walk in Jyväskylä during the night. Visit to the City of Light event.	Ville Hirvikoski

Friday 30th of Sep - day 2

On Friday we will meet at the main campus of the University of Jyväskylä. We have booked us the meeting room C156 in the main building. We can meet at the main lobby and take some coffee with us to the meeting room. Address to the campus area is Seminaarinkatu 15. It takes about 20 minutes by walk from your hotel to the campus.
