Hello! Here is Madda,

I’ve lived 5 months as an italian exchange student in Muurame.

Before my arrival there I was so scared because actually I didin’t know anything about finland culture and people there so I was so shocked my first days there in Finland, it was so different compared to the culture in Italy!

As soon as I arrived I spent my days understanding how to approach to this new culture and to the cold weather because even though it was just September I remember it seemed like a normal winter temperature in Italy.

I remember my first day at school like it was yesterday. My first class was psychology and the moment I entered my first thought was how light were my classmate’s hair!

Right after I remember me standing in front of the class trying to be calm and funny while inside I was freaking out, but now that my experience is ended I ask to my friends how I seemed during the first class… they always say that I looked so comfortable in that situation!!!

Anyway my experience in Finland has been the best thing that happened in my life, just like a dream. I left a peace of my heart in Finland and and all the memories there have a place in my heart either.

I have a memory with everyone, from the saddest to the funniest, from the most awkward to the most pleasant…

I’ve seen scenarios I’ve never seen before, I’ve felt emotions I’ve never felt before. I’ve lived a life I couldn’t even imagine and this thanks to my host famiy, my friends, my classmates, my teachers and all the school personal.

I’ve lived a dream and I didn’t want to wake up!
