The American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) is one of the largest and most famous natural history museums in the world. It is located in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York, USA. The museum is located in a park-like area next to Central Park. It comprises 25 separate buildings with 46 permanent exhibition halls, research laboratories and a prestigious library. The museum’s collections contain more than 32 million specimens, only a small portion of which can be on display.
