Introducing My Artists
1. Choose an artist. Here are some ideas:
2. Find out as much as you can about the artists.
Find at least three sources that ARE NOT Wikipedia.
• When were they born? (When did they live?)
• What is the reason they are so famous today?
• What is their art like? What kinds of artworks did/do they make?
• What is their style?
• What has been said about their art?
You can make different pages/slides for each.
3. Your opinions
Which artwork of each artist do you like or hate?
What about it makes it different from the work of other artists?
4. Make a PowerPoint.
5. Present your work to your partner.
When you both have presented your work, make a slide (in both PowerPoints) where you compare these artists to one another.
The goal of this exercise is to find something that interests YOU
and learn to COMPARE two (perhaps very different kinds of) artists.
