What we paractice in preschool?

During the year, a wide range of important skills are practiced, which are needed both in school and throughout life. The most important goals of pre-primary education are to strengthen the child's self-esteem and positive self-image through positive learning experiences, as well as to practice working in a group and social skills. A wide range of self-help skills, self-regulation skills and own control skills are also key things to practice. In pre-primary education, the child acquires basic knowledge, skills and competences from different areas of learning. One of the tasks of pre-primary education is to map information about the child's development, learning abilities and habits, so that his or her studies at school start as smoothly as possible.

The key course of action in preschool education is play. There is time for play during the preschool day, and learning is largely done through play. In addition to play, experiential and functional working methods provide experiences and strengthen children's motivation to learn. Pre-primary education is an integrated teaching consisting of different kinds of learning modules of different dimensions and implemented in different ways. The starting point for the implementation of learning modules is children's interests and common goals set for pre-primary education.
