Description: This course will prepare students for the TOK course of the IB programme. In other words it will encourage students to become more active thinkers and more active members of the society. Thus, students will understand the nature and methods of the TOK, which has an essential role in the IB syllabus.

Contents:

Students will

• learn thinking skills and learn to listen to the other members of the group and to be open to new ideas

 

• practise communicating skills. This includes informal class discussions, debates and preparation and production of more formal oral presentations and written texts

 

• learn to evaluate the truth of allegations and practices to present and demand justifications for various allegations, to understand the structure of justifications and to evaluate their validity
