  3. Medieval life in Europe: City life, Feudalism, the Black Death, Voyage of Discovery.
  4. Modern life and economy in the 17th-18th centuries: Colonialism, mercantilism, absolutism, world trade.
  5. Different ideologies, Enlightenment, the French Revolution.
  6. Industrilisation in the 18th and 19 centuries in the World.

How to write an essay, how to use sources, how to prove something by arguments.

 

pre-DP History 2 (2 op)

Contents:

1.Different ideologies, socialism, fascism.

2.Germany/Weimar Republic/Nazi-Germany. Wilhelm II, Treaty of the Versailles, why and how were the Nazis able to get power.

  1. Causes of WWI, why was it a total war.
  2. The League of Nations, collective security.
  3. The Russian Revolutions in 1917. Lenin’s and Stalin’s socities.
  4. Causes of WWII in Europe and in Asia.
  5. Events of WWII.
  6. Beginning of the Cold War in 1945-48.

This will help students in IB History, as the course provides similar content and skills, e.g how to understand source-based questions and how to write an essay.
