Celebrating Others' Culture Repectfully
We have been doing art projects using art techniques from other cultures.
We have been doing art projects using art techniques from other cultures.
We understand that Aboriginal art is a reflection of things sacred to the indigenous people of Australia. We do not share their tribal stories and culture, but we wanted to celebrate this beautiful art form. We felt that one way that we could be respectful and still enjoy this way of painting would be to use our own tribal stories and culture. So, we have chosen Finland’s special animals and legends in our representations.
We hope you enjoy our work!

Responsibility
6B pupils were asked to invent or create something that they felt would be beneficial to the world - it could be anything at all. It was interesting to see how many of their ideas were linked with the environment.

Activities to increase Global Awareness and Responsibility
Our school decided to organise a Unicief Walk in which the pupils collected sponsors to raise money for children in Myanmar. The walk will take place on October 9th.
