The following Peda.net tools support the evaluation function: blog entry, group note, discussion thread, page and text. In addition, all of the subcomponents (files and responses) of forms, submission folders and group submission folders can be marked for evaluation.

A tool/component is marked for evaluation by ticking the box that reads “Request evaluation” on the tool’s/component’s “Modify” page. This makes the administrator of the page (e.g. the teacher of a course) able to write evaluations for the responses and submissions given by the participants.

Evaluations are only visible for their writer (the administrator) and their receivers (the participants).

Summary of the Peda.net evaluation tool:

• There is a ”View evaluations” button on top of each Peda.net page. By clicking on this button, you can examine the evaluations that are hosted on the page and its subpages.
• When clicking on the ”View evaluations” button in your profile’s personal workspace, the tool will list all your completed evaluations across the Peda.net platform.
