Simo, the guardian
  • Simo has been the principal since 2001. Simo has a PhD in education and an MBA. He enjoys bird watching, cycling, dog grooming and bench sports (FC Liverpool). Simon's wife is Susanne Petersen. She is a language teacher and special needs teacher at a high school.
  • Simon can always be reached. His work number is 00-358-5640057. On weekends and holidays, the best way to reach Simo is on his own phone number 00-358-50-4318578.
  • Simo and Susanne live in Forssa during the week, but they usually spend the weekends in the Turku archipelago.
  • Lumo is the school dog.

Regarding Procedures and Documents

Regarding Accommodation
  •  Huoneistot, apartments: Saksankuja (tytöt: kolmio ja kaksio [yksi asukas vielä puuttuu]) ja Isoniityntie (pojat, 6 bedrooms, big kitchen and living room, 2 washrooms).
  • Sunny & Doan (Machiko) Heikin & Katin alivuokralaisia (heitä ei alla olevat asiaat koske).
  • Vuokranantaja eli kerrostalojen omistaja on Forssa-Kiinteistöt Oy eli kaupungin omistama yritys. Teidän ei tarvitse tehdä vuokrasopimusta, sillä teen sen teidän puolestanne. Takuumaksuakaan teidän ei tarvitse maksaa, koska lukio maksaa sen teidän puolestanne.
  • Vuokra on max 350e/kk. Vuokraan sisältyvät kalusteet, keittiövälineet, internet-yhteys. Sähkölasku on yleensä n. 10e/kk. 
  • Apartment details: Could you provide some images or videos of the apartment so that students know what items to bring? For example, would they need to bring light bulbs, a Wi-Fi router, extra bed linens, kitchen knives, or clothes hangers? Jo Forssassa asuvat nuoret auttavat.

  • Rental duration: Must students stay in this apartment for the full three years of study, or can they change apartments? Joku on vaihtanut huoneistoa, asunnon vaihtaminen ei ole helppoa.
  • Rent increase: Will the rent remain the same, or does it increase annually? If it increases, by what percentage? Keväällä on tulossa korotus, mutta lukio maksaa sen. Pyrimme pitämään vuokran samana.
  • Recreational facilities: Are there any recreational equipment such as pool tables, ping-pong tables, or a piano in the building’s basement? Ei ole.

Regarding Shopping

Sports in the city of Forssa

OPTIONS FOR INDIVIDUAL MOVEMENT:
Among the municipality's own sports facilities, Viihdeuimala Vesihelmi is a place definitely worth exploring, which was by far the most brilliant sports place in the residents' exercise survey. Vesihelme has versatile pool facilities for fitness, enjoyment and spending time. Fitness pool, warm therapy pool and wave pool. With the same swimming ticket, you can access 2 gyms and a warm-up room. The house also has a gym. Students have an agreement to visit the water pearl twice a week for €2.50. Receipt at checkout.

The Lamminranta sports center has two ice rinks with free public skating sessions on Wed, Fri and Sun, and free sessions of sports services (lattä, ringette and rink ball), for men and women.

Outdoor fitness equipment from the sports field, the Kaikula and Paavola fitness tracks, and around Lamminranta and the multi-purpose center in the yard of Akvarelli.

There are wonderful frisbee golf courses in the region. Forssa has two courses suitable for beginners in Talsoila (improved this summer) and Viksberg, Vieremä then has the clearly more challenging 18-hole AA1 level Discgolfpark Hunnari.

There is also a bowling alley in Forssa, a mini golf course and a trotting track are located next to the fribarada in Talsoila park.

Regionally, we still need to promote Tammela's wonderful nature trails, e.g. In the Torro swamp, Saare national park, Liesjärvi nature park, Eerikkilä sports college in Tammela, Ypäjä horse school and Loimijoki Golf.
