How to realize a Musical

November 2025-February 2026

Before achieving the final result we should follow these steps:

I. Introduction
Reading the libretto and have a first sight on the piano reduction and on the full orchestral score

II. Discussion
Identifying musical needs, discuss the entire structure of the musical and discuss about the portrayal of all the characters

III. Record 1
Making a good piano recording of all the songs.
All the records have to be shared with all the participants.

IV. Practise
All the sections (strings, winds, percussions and singers) have to practice their own parts with the help of the teachers involved into the project. This means that all the sections will be autonomous

V. Record 2
All the sections (after the preparation discussed in IV.) should make an “individual” recording. After this one should discuss the problems encountered in the record.

VI. Orchestral rehearsal
Organise 2 full days of rehearsal with the complete orchestra. The priority must be to resolve all the group problems (togetherness, dynamic, articulations etc.)

VII. Final Workshop
Organise 2 days of work with singers and piano accompaniment and after this put together all the students involved (singers+orchestra)
VIII. Final performance
