1. Can You please explain the meaning of maxima, longa and brevis etc?
Does it go like this?
semifusa = 1/16 
fusa = 1/8
semiminima = 1/4
Minima 1/2
semibrevis = full note, 1/1, four beats
brevis ? two full notes together?
longa?
maxima?

It's the subdivision basically to tell you if the beat goes divided into three or two (triplets or duple)

This is absolutely depending on the transcription that is made.
You will sometimes see transcriptions where the brevis is the value of a whole note, the semibrevis a half note, etc.. .
But some transcriptions make the brevis even half a note, semibrevis quarter note, etc ... .

Always start thinking from the biggest value and go down in three or two.
