Noormarkun yhtenäiskoulu

Noormarkun yhtenäiskoulu is an elementary school of approximately 500 students, which is situated in Noormarkku, 14 kilometers from Pori centre. In addition to mainstream education the school also offers several groups for special needs education in which the students study following individualised educational plans.

On the higher grades Noormarkun yhtenäiskoulu gathers students of certain age from several primary schools. The students from the school of Söörmarkku attend the school from fifth grade onwards whereas the students from the school of Ahlainen and the Kankaan koulu -school join Noormarkun yhtenäiskoulu from seventh grade onwards.

In Noormarkun yhtenäiskoulu the students are taught towards full knowledge and skills that are needed to achieve and maintain a successful life. Thus one of the school’s most important educational goals is to guide the children to become active members in the modern society.

In addition to the previously mentioned aspirations the school is a part of the “Finnish schools on the move” programme, which provides support on the aims of adding more exercising to the pupils’ everyday lives.
