Expectations

Expectations that you need to meet!

Studying Global Politics can be immensely rewarding and can really help you gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of our world today. However, like all IB courses, it is demanding and there are certain expectation that you will need to meet if you are to be successful.

1. Participation in class is harder for some of us than for others. Nonetheless, you agree that you will make every effort to be actively involved in every lesson as much as possible.

2. You will complete the required reading before each class

3. You will make all possible effort to submit work by required deadlines. If you are having difficulties you agree you will let me know beforehand so we can work out a way to help

4. You will bring an open mind to every lesson and be ready to have your preconceptions challenged. Remember, it is ok to disagree.

Contacts and collaboration

If you need help with anything, just contact me:
susanna.soininen@gradia.fi or by WILMA

This is a two-way street and:

1. Provided work has been submitted by the agreed deadline, it will be marked and feedback provided. This may be orally or in writing.

2. I will do my best to make classes as interesting and stimulating as possible. ( sometimes IBO regulations provide guidelines for that..) I am also open to feedback from you - what did you enjoy?

3. If you come to me for help, I will do my best to help you in whatever way I can. If that is not possible then we will work together to find someone who can.
