Food vocabulary
Today we dealt with vocabulary to do with food.
First we practised pronunciation of the words on pages 93-95 in the book "Catching up".
Then we did some vocabulary tasks. (see the handout ).
The Food ABC task proved to be a bit tedious. Did you know that there is no food word beginning with the letter U in the English language? I know now. We were forced to count in words such as "unsalted nuts" and "unsweetened chocolate". How about "Umami" ?
Next time we'll continue with the same topic and do task 3 in the handout and have a bit of a conversation about food. If you are alrady "stuffed" with the food talk, don't worry! I've got something else in mind for you!
We will talk about another topic, too. (It's a suprise... as for I haven't decided on the topic yet).
See you and have a lovely week!
