Tällaisten sanojen paikka lauseessa riippuu siitä, mitä muita sanoja lauseessa on:

1. Yleensä ne ovat ennen verbiä (I always do my homework.)

2. Jos verbejä on kaksi, paikka on niiden keskellä (I have always done my homework.)

3. Jos lauseessa on be-verbi (eli olla-verbi: am, is, are, was, were), se tulee aina ENNEN näitä sanoja (I am always happy).
