Reported questions Jaa Reported (or "Indirect") Questions There are three things you have to remember: 1. Practise the word order: AGENT + VERB Practise indirect question word order: AGENT + VERB Direct question Indirect / reported question "Who are you?" The police asked who you are VERB + AGENT (you) AGENT (you) + VERB 1. "Who is that girl?" Do you know ? 2. "Why are you so angry?" I'd like to know so angry. 3. "Where are you?" Oh, do tell me . 4. "When will you get home?" She wants to know . 5. "Why are you so late again?" Please tell us so late again. 6. "How old are you?" Tell me . In the next one, ask yourself: who is the agent? Be careful not to change the meaning of the sentence by automatically switching word order. 7. "Who called you last night?" Mom wants to know .
