pre-DP Psychology (2 op)
The course familiarizes students with a psychological way to explain human behavior.
Contents:
-Understand and explain how biological, social, and psychological factors affect human behavior
-Become familiar with psychological knowledge of learning and use the information to enhance personal study skills
-Be able to give examples of psychological research and to analyze and evaluate research designs
-Understand that psychological knowledge is based on scientific research
-Introduction to biological influences on human behavior (genes, heredity, the central nervous system)
-Introduction to psychological influences on human behavior (emotions, motivation, cognitive processes)
-Introduction to social influences on human behavior
-A psychological perspective to learning (biological, cognitive, and social bases of learning, )
