English Profiency Levels

The Language Proficiency Scale is a Finnish application of the scales included in the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework of Reference for language learning, teaching and assessment. Generally the goal is that pupils enrolled in the bilingual classes achieve the level of B1.2. Level B1.1 needs to be attained in seventh and eighth grades. Levels B2.1 and B2.2 are attainable in upper school but the basic goal is that everyone achieves level B1.2 at the least.
