Course 8 (advanced) Speak up! 

This course focuses on oral skills and abilities to successfully communicate in various situations involving oral communication. You will e.g. practise presenting your case and persuading your listeners in a convincing way, giving a speech, reading more fluently and being an active listener. Furthermore, we will pay attention to word and sentence stress, intonation, and pronunciation in general, practise different communication registers and strategies, as well as revise vocabulary and phrasal verbs.
 

The aim: To become fluent and more certain in communicating in English 

Material: Studeo ENA8 Global Communication (Lops 2016) code to our group Y7KESP 

F-test: Phrasal verbs will be tested separately

Wordtests: two in total

Writing: A media diary + some reports/optional to support your oral work

A speech: Given to the class

Course test: On Monday 30th November you will take a national oral test in pairs. It includes tasks similar to the ones in the course. Your performance will be recorded. 

Evaluation: Your general progress and activity are evaluated throughout the course. Therefore it is essential to be present every time! During the course you will give four presentations of your spoken comptence, which together with the phrasal verbs test, wordtests and normal classroom activities will make up 50 % of your final grade. The other 50 % is the test. '
