ENA05.2 Science project videos
Turn in your science project video here.
The idea is to conduct a simple scientific experiment and videotape it, along with an English account of what happens in the experiment. The easiest way to provide the account is to verbally explain what you are doing as you conduct the experiment, but you can also use subtitles (which will take more time and effort to produce). You do not need to edit the video in any way, but try to keep it short and to the point (say, 2-5 minutes). You can work either by yourself or with a partner.
Typically, science projects relate to natural sciences such as physics or chemistry, but you are free to explore any other field of science as well, such as psychology, statistics, etc. Below is a useful website in Finnish for ideas for natural sciences projects.
In your video, explain at least the following (if applicable):
-what ingredients are necessary for the experiment (if any)
-what preparations need to be made before conducting the experiment
-what safety considerations must be taken into account
-what actually happens in the experiment
-what is the scientific reason for what happens in the experiment
-what can be deduced from the experiment
-if you had a hypothesis, did the result match the hypothesis?
Most importantly: keep it safe!
