8) A case study: Impact of the First World War on civilian populations of two countries (1914-1918)
Issues (Three topics, three groups)
GROUP A: Analyse the goals and means of war economy and its impact to the citizens' ordinary life (e.g. women's role, industrial production, wartime rationing) in two belligerent states (f.ex. Great Britain and Germany).
GROUP B: Analyse the attempts to improve atmosphere in home front (e.g. war propaganda) in two belligerent states (f.ex. Great Britain and Germany).
GROUP C: Compare the amount of the WW1 civil victims in Germany and one of the following (France, Russia, great Britain or some other belligerent country) and analyse reasons for the simililarities and differences.
