Lempoisten koulu / Lempoinen school
Lempoinen school is located in the centre of Lempäälä in southern Finland. Lempäälä is an active municipality with approximately 23 000 inhabitants. Lempäälä is situated in the Tampere region, one of the fastest growing centres in Finland.
Our school is one of the biggest ones in Lempäälä which has ten primary schools. It is the oldest school of the municipality, founded in 1873. Lempoinen school is a pre-primary, primary and special needs education school of approximately 600 students (aged 6-12) and 45 teachers. We also have a large number of school assistants, the total number of staff is 90. Most of the students with special needs are integrated in the classes of general education. It’s common that the special needs teacher and the class teacher work together with the special needs students integrated class. The school has gone through a thorough renovation and enlargement in recent years and is now well equipped for modern day teaching and learning.
