Tower bridge is historically bridge in London. It's 244 metres long, 65 metres high and below standard height is 8,6 metres. It crosses the River Thames, and you can see it near the Tower of London. The bridge has been designed architect Horace Jones. Tower Bridge is one of the London's biggest sights. Bridge completed between 1986-1994, but it opened already 30.6.1984, and it have been builded because London's little bridges got rushed. Over 11.000 tons of steel provided the framework for the towers and walkways. In April 2008 it was announced that the bridge would undergo a facelift costing 4 million dollars, and taking four years to complete. It had to strip of tower's paint and repaint to blue and white.
