Terveisiä Granadasta!
Matkustuspäivä, lauantai 26.9.
Our journey to Granada started from Jyväskylä’s train station.
The group gathered around, took the leaving photo and then entered the train headed to Tampere, and After a 2 hour train journey we had arrived.
We quickly stopped at McDonalds to refuel, and then we took all took a cab to Tampere-Pirkkala-airport. After relaxing at the airport for a few hours it was finally time to go trough security.
Finally, our plane arrives on the runway and we can start boarding. The plane ride went smoothly. There was no turbulence and takeoff and landing went great aswell. The plane itself was good aswell having a pretty good selection of snacks and drinks to choose from and the legroom we got was pretty good for a basic economy seat.
¡Welcome to Malaga! After nearly 5 hours of sitting in the plane we finally arrived to Malaga. Everyone is a little bit tired, some are more than others but everyone is happy that we’re here. We made our way trough the airport to the bus stops, the teachers quickly grabbing something for the students to eat while doing so, and we took a bus to our hotel. We stayed the night in a hotel named Holiday Inn, and it was a positive experience. Beds were good, it wasn’t too hot these and the windows had a nice view.

Sunnuntai 27.9.
Good morning! Sunday morning started of with us getting breakfast, and packing our bags up. Next stop was Malaga airport again, this time to board the bus heading to our final destination of Granada. Bus ride went well as we got to see the beautiful mountains of Andalucia, and before you know it, we’re here! The host families came to pick us up from the bus station and the whole day was dedicated to getting know your host families. From the bus station everyone went their own ways. For example Lauri and Lukas went to Lukas’s hosts house to eat and swim at their pool. Overall the traveling days went very well and gave a positive start to this wonderful trip.

Maanantai 28.9.
Monday:
We went to the school ”AVE MARÍA DE LA QUINTA” for the first time. The school is a lot different than Palokka school because it has few small buildings and Palokka school is one big building. And also for example the spanish school has a lot of smaller PE classroom than Palokka school. We played some games in the PE classroom together.
At lunch we ate in the classrooms and we had to bring our own lunch which is opposite of what we do in Finland. After lunch we went to the centre of Granada with the school and we did tasks all over the center. We also went to the cathedral and it was beautiful inside.
On monday it was raining so we used umbrellas and the teachers have us one if we didn’t have one.
After school we went to the shopping center ”NEVADA” it really big, atleast four times bigger than ”SEPPÄ”. We spent the whole evening there and it was really fun.

Tiistai 29.9.
Tuesday:
We went to the ”LAS MIMBRES” by bus. It was beautiful sunny day. In the morning it was pretty cold but then during the day it was really hot. We didn't have much of a schedule, so we got to do whatever we wanted. Our only thing that was planned was a game, Where we had to find differences between Spanish and Finnish nature. Lastly we all played football and it was really fun. At around 16.30 we went back to the school by bus and our families picked us up.
After school we went to the center again to shop in the tourist shops and to see viewpoints. It was really fun going to the little shops and many of us bought something to bring home, for example magnets. The viewpoint was so beautiful, you could see the whole center at it. We stayed at the viewpoint for a long time and took pictures together. Some of us left early for different reasons, for example to watch the Spain’s football game.

Keskiviikko 30.9.
Keskiviikkona kun tultii kouluun, mentii yhteen alakerran luokista ja jaettiin koko porukka kahteen ryhmään. Toinen etti suomesta kuvia ja liimas ne isoon posteriin johon oli piirretty suomi, toinen porukka etti espanjasta kuvia ja liimas ne posteriin mihin oli piirretty espanja. Ku pisterit oli aikalailla valmiita kuunneltiin espanjalaista musiikkia ja harjoteltiin joitain tansseja niihi musiikeihin.
Posterituntien jälkee meillä oli ruokatauko ja mä menin syömään mun uusien espanjalaisten kavereitten kanssa.
Ku ruokatauko oli ohi sai päättää meneekö tekemään tehtäviä kouluun vai meneekö koulun pihalla olevaan kirkkoon messuun. Mä menin mun kaverin kanssa messuun ja se kääns mulle englanniks aikalailla kaiken mitä pappi taibjoku muu puhu sielkä kirkossa. Loppuosaa messua meille annettiin ehtoollinen, joka oli vaan ehtoollisleipä koska tässä koulun kirkossa ei saa antaa lapsille viiniä.
Messun jälkeen meillä oli taas espanjalaisten kanssa samassa luokassa projekti mutta tällä kertaa se oli ilmastonmuutoksesta. Koko porukka jaettiin pienempiin ryhmiin ja mun ryhmän aiheena oli helleaallot.
Projektien jälkeen meillä oli enää yks tunti koulua ja sai valita jatkaako ilmastoprojektia vai meneekö seuraamaan enkun tuntia yläkertaan. Mä menin enkun tunnille eikä se ollu kauheen erillainen ku suomessakaa.

Keskiviikko iltapäivä
Kävelin majoittajani kanssa hänen kotiin. Siellä söimme melkein heti lounasta. Tämän jälkeen päätimme katsoa sarjaa, josta me molemmat tykkäsimme. Menimme myös katsomaan flamenco esitystä, joka oli todella erilaista kuin tanssi mitä yleensä näen. Siinä tanssittiin korkokengillä musiikkiin ja oli todella tunteellista. Sitten minulle näytettiin vielä vähän keskustaa ja näköalapaikkoja. Sitten päivän lopuksi kävimme vielä erittäin suositussa leipään erikoistuneessa ravintolassa syömässä.

Torstai 1.10.
Tänään päivä alkoi koululla majoittajien tunnilla. Ensimmäisen tunnin jälkeen lähdimme kävelemään espanjalaisen opettajan kanssa Alhambraa kohti. Matka kesti noin 30 minuuttia. Aamulla oli noin 16 astetta, mutta lämpötila nousi yli 25 asteeseen päivän edetessä. Alhambrassa näimme ja opimme Arabialaisesta arkkitehtuurista

Perjantai 2.10.
Aamulla tultiin koululle 8.15 kuten joka päivä. Oltiin hetki ensimmäisellä tunnilla, jonka jälkeen lähdimme bussilla n. klo 9.30 rannalle. Pelasimme espanjalaisten kanssa ilmastonmuutos-lautapeliä, söimme eväitä, kävimme uimassa ja vietimme aikaa rannalla. Osa pelasi myös lentopalloa. Oli tosi hyvä sää, aurinko paistoi ja oli lämmintä (n. 28°C). Lähdimme klo 16 aikaan koululle takaisin bussilla, josta jokainen pääsi lähtemään kotiin. Kotona vietettiin aikaa majoittajan kanssa muutama tunti. Illalla klo 20 menimme kaikki koululle, jossa juhlittiin kulunutta viikkoa, kun olimme heidän koulussaan. Siellä söimme ja osa pelasi jalkapalloa. Otettiin lopussa vielä kuvia. Sieltä lähdettiin kotiin n. klo 21.30-22. Loppuilta vietettiin perheissä kotona.
