Kirkonkylän koulu (Kirkonkylä School) is located in Pirkkala 15 kilometres from Tampere. Our school operates also in Hyrsinki school house, which is located near Tampere-Pirkkala airport. Our school was founded in 1887 and it is the oldest in Pirkkala. At the moment there are about 215 pupils and 14 teachers in our school. Other members of staff include educational assistants, school social worker, school phycologist and school nurse.

Our school has participated in many international programs (eg. Erasmus) over the years. Right now we are in Erasmus+ program with Polish, Swedish and Spanish schools.

In our school we think that it is important that every pupil is being looked after. We want to see good in every child and encourage them to achieve their best.
