<p>In Lecture 7, Sam compares the educational training programmes in Ireland to the U.K. system. She points that after the economic development in 1996, Ireland has become one of the richest countries in E.U. There are 2-3 universities provide teacher training programmes. Some teachers also take in-service diploma programme to become subject leaders or curriculum masters. What's worth mentioning is that in Ireland, there are some schools run by the church. Therefore, the headteachers in church schools are the priests or nuns.</p>
