1. Hän oli kiipeilyretkellä ja onnistumisen elämyksen takia hän halusi lisää seikkailuita.
2. Häntä kiusattiin ja hän sai ahdistuskohtauksia eikä halunnut poistua kotoa.
3. Hän juoksi kilpaa, alkoi harrastaa kalliokiipeilyä, osallistui haasteeseen ja nousi Mont Blancille.
4. Lumivyöry tappoi 16 ihmistä, ja vuorelle kiipeily keskeytettiin loppukaudeksi.
5. Sää oli synkkä ja myrskyisä. Myöhemmin oli sumuista.
6. Alkoi maanjäristys ja Alex joutui lumivyöryyn. Alex ei ollut varma, jäisikö hän henkiin lumivyöryn takia.
7. Ihmiset itkivät, koska jo leiriin päässeet olivat luulleet, että Alex ja muut vielä matkalla olevat olivat saaneet surmansa.
8. Hän on keskittynyt varojen keräämiseen Nepalin jälleenrakentamisen auttamiseksi.
9. Aikoo, koska se on jotakin, mitä hänen täytyy tehdä, että hän voi jatkaa elämässään eteenpäin.
