Lecture 4 introduces the timetable for the curriculum development process in practice. Dr Lahtero explains how the work and time is divided between district and school level development processes and general and subject curriculum development processes in the city of Vantaa. We also learn about the benefits of group processes in development.

PLEASE NOTE that Lectures 3-5 in this session are optional. They move on to the curriculum development process and serve as a practical example on how the curriculum development process is may be lead in the Finnish context. Even though the context of the lectures is Finnish basic education and one municipality, many ideas are applicable to other cultures and contexts.

Before any lecture either open or save to your computer the assigned PowerPoint presentations.

PowerPoint slides available in the course materials

Listen to the lecture, and afterwards do the assignment given below.
&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;Cannot display this embedded content because your browser does not support iframes.&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;lt;/p&amp;amp;amp;amp;amp;gt;

Assignment after the lecture:

Please, write your personal leaning ideas to your own reflective report.
