Lecture 4 Educational and vocational guidance in Finland; guidance at employment offices

In this lecture you will learn more about the practices of guidance and counselling at the employment offices in Finland. We also discuss the vocational rehabilitation practises, and widen the perspective to European level employment services by introducing EURES – the European level network.

At the end of the lecture, you will be asked to asked to reflect of the lessons learned so far in session one and two. Follow the guidelines given by the lecturer, and make some personal reflective notes. In lecture five you can listen to the comments other students have on the issue. Like the lecturer advises you; think yourself as the principal, and especially think what items presented might be feasible to carry out, and what items would be most challenging to put into practise.
