In this session you start to learn the second frame from Bolman and Deal's book, which is the human resource frame. Professor Alava starts with the historical development of this frame, and we learn that the human resource perspective is linked to the broad field of organizational behaviour. In the lecture we also get to know the famous Hawthorne Studies. Different from the structural frame, human resource frame focuses on the people element. It encourages team work, empowerment, and motivation.

Before any lecture either open or save to your computer the assigned PowerPoint presentations.

Assignment before the lecture: Read chapter 6 from the course book Bolman, L.
