Lecture 1 The global goal for public education

In the beginning of the lecture, Mr. Spinks asks you to think, where you are in five years time. Please do a quick thinking of this at the very beginning of the lecture. Then, Mr. Spinks gives an overview of the course emphasizing the international perspective. Then, he talks about the different strategies found in various places and various countries. He sees it important to get familiar with different perspectives, but then he asks us to critically appraise the strategies found in different countries and then formulate one that best suits one’s own needs.
