<content type="html">&lt;p&gt;The success of Finland in the international PISA assessment has been in the focus of the education community worldwide. In this lecture professor Tjeldvoll gives a new perspective on the success factors behind Finland’s excellent PISA results. Then he gives us of a detailed perspective to three other educational systems; those from England, China, and Hong Kong. During this important comparative education lecture we also learn about professionalism in general, and about the occupation of teachers as a professional field. We also learn in more detail the historical background of the evolvement of the teaching profession. &lt;br/&gt;&#10;&lt;br/&gt;&#10;Session seven consists of three lectures, PowerPoint slides related to them, readings, individual and group assignments.&lt;/p&gt;&#10;&lt;p&gt;&lt;span&gt;Please start the session by clicking lecture 1.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&#10;</content>
