Production 1 (composition)

Choose one of the topics and write 150 - 250 words on it.

1. Expressing myself through art
What is your way of expressing your ideas and passions? Is it through dance, painting, music or perhaps writing? What makes you feel good about your art? When, how and why do you engage yourself with your chosen form of art?

2. My favourite photograph
Describe one of your favourite photograps (and include the picture as well)

You should say:

when the photograph was taken
what it depicts
what significant memory this photograph bears

and explain why it is one of your favourite photographs.

3. A book that everybody should read
Discuss a book that has made a profound impression on you. What was so special about it that you would have everyone read it?

4. Let’s go to the theatre!
Do youngsters get to see enough plays? What’s the point of visiting the theatre? What does the theatre give you that you can’t get anywhere else? Write a Letter to the Editor expressing your opinion on this matter.

5. No thank you!
What type of music definitely turns you off?

6. Confessions of an admirer
You’ve been given the chance to write your idol a personal letter which will be handed to her/him in person. What would you want to say to him/her?

7. A Short Story
Write a story with a twist.

Production 2 (artist presentation)
- pair / group work
- choose an artist (photographer, architect, poet, author, dancer, playwright, director, painter, sculptor, fashion designer)
- read how to write a bio (sanomapro) for details = what a bio should include
- make a presentation and remember visuality (of the slides)
- peer evaluation + teacher
