Lecture 1 Finnish education system and labor market

In this lecture we will learn about the historical development of guidance in Finland, and also the current provisions, initiatives, and challenges of guidance especially in educational settings. You will also get to know the Finnish education system and the Finnish labor organization. Pay special attention to how the lecturer describes the major educational reform in Finland while launching the comprehensive education; the system of guidance was introduces along the reform. At that time Finland began also to train special councellors as catalysts and advocates of the new system.
