Tuesday 10th April
CLASSWORK 1: We looked at the answer to the video exercise and then finished watching Philomena talk about time (link).
CLASSWORK 2: Then we started the revision exercises (see links right at the bottom of this page).
CLASSWORK 3: We finished with a Quizlet Live.

Monday 9th April
CLASSWORK 1: We checked the homework and looked at 'S/OF again.
CLASSWORK 2: We watched *this* video (not the funniest) about hotels.
HOMEWORK: Please watch *this* and answer the questions below

Q2: Why is St Pauls amazing (it is two things)
Q3: What did the tall buildings not have in them?
Q4: Why are people happy to be in the National Theatre watching boring plays?

Q7: How long will it take people to evolve skins made of bricks?

Thursday 5th April
CLASSWORK 1: We did the test and then continued the handouts.
CLASSWORK 2: If you finished you were welcome to read the poems on p48-51.
HOMEWORK 1: Please finish last week's handouts: 8.9 Ex1, 8.9 Ex2 and 8.5 (plurals)..

Wednesday 4th April
CLASSWORK 1: We checked last week's handouts.
CLASSWORK 2: We started 8.9 Ex1 or and 2. - only one student finished these.
CLASSWORK 3: We read p58, watched *HALF* the video on Foley artists and found out what happens when a bull goes to a china shop (link).
HOMEWORK: We have a test on *these* (p58) on Thursday 5th April.

Tuesday 3rd April
CLASSWORK 1: We talked, did the test and watched April Fools' videos.
HOMEWORK: Please watch *this* video. Please write notes (in Finnish or English) about how these ten pranks work and answer these questions:

Joke 1 - connected to food. Explain!
Joke 2 - connected to toilet paper. Explain!
Joke 3 - with hands. Explain!
Joke 4 - connected to eggs. Explain!
Joke 5 - connected to packed lunch. Explain!

Thursday 29th March
CLASSWORK 1: We did an AB exercise.
CLASSWORK 2: We did the three grammar sheets (8.15, 8.16 Ex1, 8.17Ex1) - we didn't check these.
CLASSWORK 3: Then we started/continued BLUE BOOK p154-157.
HOMEWORK (from 28.3, double lesson): p163-166. Please write the answers (I will check that you have done it on *Tuesday*). Yes, I know the answers are at the back of the book.
HOMEWORK (from 29.3, double lesson): Test on p46 Literature words next time (*Quizlet*).

Wednesday 28th March
CLASSWORK 1: We finished articles.
CLASSWORK 2: We went on to "Genetiivi" on p157->
CLASSWORK 3: We did p160-161 Ex20 and 21.
CLASSWORK 4: Then a couple of students started the BLUE BOOK u81 (p162-163).
HOMEWORK: p163-166. Please write the answers (I will check that you have done it on *Tuesday*). Yes, I know the answers are at the back of the book.

Monday 26th March
CLASSWORK: We checked the homework and read p151-154
CLASSWORK 2: Then we started p155 Ex17 and 18.
HOMEWORK: p155-156 Ex19.

Monday 26th March
CLASSWORK: We spoke lots! Including p23 1-8 (we didn't read the text) and p64 Ex7b.
HOMEWORK: Please watch the first 11 minutes of *this* and then answer the following questions. Concentrate on this 100% (=without any apps on your phone) BUT do not do it for more than 20 minutes:
1. How long has the Mona Lisa been in the spotlight (parrasvaloissa)?
2. Complete: "This is quite simply one of the ____ of the century"
3. How long has the detective / the man investigated the Mona Lisa?
4. According to the presenter, which part of the body did Leonardo study?
5. What is the name of the city where Leonardo started painting the Mona Lisa?
6. In 2006 a researcher found a text. What did the notes in the margin prove?

Thursday 22nd March
CLASSWORK 1: We finished the writing.
CLASSWORK 2: Then there were two choices:
a) RED BOOK units 65, 66, 73.
b) BLUE BOOK units 71-79 in the blue book!
CLASSWORK 3: We then did the test and did these glossary exercises: p34 ExA, p47 ExB, p47 ExD
HOMEWORK: Vocabulary test on p34 words next Monday. *Here* is the Quizlet.

Wednesday 21st March
CLASSWORK 1: We checked all the work from teacher pizza day.
CLASSWORK 2: We then started writing p118-119 (150-250 words, this is not homework).
CLASSWORK 3: If you finished you can watch a few minutes of the slow-moving masterpiece that was/is "Tripods".:D
HOMEWORK 1 (OLD HOMEWORK): Please do p74 Ex8e.
HOMEWORK 2: We have a test on the unit 8 words on Thursday. *Here* is the Quizlet.

Tuesday 20th March
CLASSWORK: We translated text 8 and some students started the exercises.
HOMEWORK: Please do p74 Ex8e.
We will have a test on the unit 8 words on Thursday.

Monday 19th March
CLASSWORK 1: We checked the homework (ex11 and 16) and did the test.
CLASSWORK 2: We then did p149 and p150
CLASSWORK 3: We then started translating text 8 (p70-71).
HOMEWORK: Please do p75 ex8f.

Thursday 15th March
CLASSWORK 1: We checked p140 Ex10.
CLASSWORK 2: We did then did 142-148 and started the exercises on p149.
CLASSWORK 3: A/An from the red book. Then Units 71 onwards in the blue book (only one student had started u72).
CLASSWORK 4: We did the vocabulary test on unit 4.
HOMEWORK 1: Please read p148 and do p151 Ex16.
HOMEWORK 2: p141 Ex11 (You should have already done this!!!).
HOMEWORK 3: Test on unit 1 words on Monday. *Here's* the Quizlet.

Wednesday 14th March
CLASSWORK 1: We didn't check the unit 4 work from last time.
CLASSWORK 2: Then we started the grammar (plurals/monikko). We did pages p126-139(!).
CLASSWORK 3: Then a few students started p158-159 in the blue book.
HOMEWORK 1: Some students have a Unit 4 vocabulary test at 12.15 tomorrow. *Here's* your Quizlet.

Tuesday 13th March
CLASSWORK 1: We finished translating the text (unit 4).
CLASSWORK 2: p40--> Ex4a, 4b(?), 4c, 4d. Then p44 Ex4k

Monday 12th March
CLASSWORK: We started unit 4. We were still translating it when the lesson finished.
