Kurssilla arvioitavat tehtävät:

- Kurssilla tehtävät kuuntelut (2-3)
- Kolme osakoetta (sanastoa ja rakenteita)

Osakoe 1:

Texts: At what age can you be a hero?, Why we don't vote & Theme vocabulary "Society and welfare", Grammar: Modal verbs p.188-206
- Tehtävissä valikoima tunnistustasoisista käännöstehtäviin (eri tavoitteiden mukaiset)

Osakoe 2:

Texts: Oscar Pistorius, Grammar: Expressions of quantity, nationality words
- Tehtävissä valikoima tunnistustasoisista käännöstehtäviin (eri tavoitteiden mukaiset)

Osakoe 3:

Texts: An American abroad, Is social media shaming ever acceptable?, Grammar: Verb + preposition, verbs without prepositions
- Tehtävissä valikoima tunnistustasoisista käännöstehtäviin (eri tavoitteiden mukaiset)

N.B.! Teemasanasto "One world, many faiths" jää itsenäisen opiskelun varaan ja siitä on mahdollista tehdä sanakoe päättöviikolla!

HUOM!
- Jokaisesta oman kurssiarvosanatavoitteen mukaisesta osakokeesta tulisi saada n.80% oikein, jotta on suositeltavaa siirtyä seuraaviin teksteihin ja tehtäviin
- Kurssilla tehtävä kirjoitelma, jonka saat opettajan merkintöjen jälkeen takaisin “paranneltavaksi” -> parempi arvosana jää voimaan
- Ääntämis- ja opiskelutaitotehtävät, jotka tehdään yhdessä

- Kurssin arviointi perustuu erilaisiin suorituksiin (kuuntelut, kirjoitelma, kokeet), itsearviointiisi omasta työskentelystäsi/oppimisestasi, arviointikeskusteluun päättöviikolla JA valitsemasi opintopolun hyväksyttyyn suorittamiseen:

1. The three tests - 40%
2. The written assignment - 20%
3. Listening comprehension (the best out of three) - 20%
4. Three vocabulary tests you have decided to hand in (one held each week) - 10%
5. The project outcomes - 10%

Individual goals and how to reach them

- We will do most of the spoken exercises (marked with the smiling cat symbol) in your books together in class, both the ones before/after the texts and the ones in the grammar section
- Pronunciation exercises are also something we will spend time on together
- We will spend some time on the “study tips”, “info,” and “how to” boxes as well
- You yourself are responsible for doing most of the written exercises @home or in a free period @school

Grades 5-7
1. Texts and theme vocabularies: At what age can you be a hero?, Why we don't vote, Oscar Pistorius, An American abroad, Is social media shaming ever acceptable? & Theme vocabularies "Society and welfare" "One world, many faiths":
- Do all the basic exercises, not the ones marked with the owl nor the translation exercises (you can do them if you want to, though), in the book
2. Grammar: all the topics, p. 188-228:
- All the exercises in the book

Grades 8-10
1. Texts and theme vocabularies to study: At what age can you be a hero?, Why we don't vote, Oscar Pistorius, An American abroad, Is social media shaming ever acceptable? & Theme vocabularies "Society and welfare" "One world, many faiths"
- Do all the exercises in the book (you can even do the ones with the owl symbol to practise your writing skills even if the teacher wouldn't check all of them)
2. Choose two of the Read on texts to study
- Do all the exercises in the book and check them (I'll provide you with the MiniKey once necessary)
- Write 100-word Finnish summaries of the two Read On texts and hand them in: the folder is under "Vocabulary test folders and other return folders"
3. Grammar: all the topics, p. 188-228:
- All the exercises
