At Ivalo School, also pre-primary (preschool) children can join.</p> <p>The purpose of the activities is to support the child’s growth and development. We also support families and the school in raising and guiding children.</p> <p>Adults create a safe and enjoyable afternoon for the children.<br/> <br/> After-school time is part of the child’s free time.<br/> <br/> Children can relax, go outside, play sports, do crafts, and have a healthy snack.</p> <hr></hr> <h2>Time and Place</h2> <p>After-school activities are organised on school days until 16:30.</p> <p>In the school year 2025–2026:</p> <ul> <li>Activities take place in the ESI–2 area and in the school yard</li> <li>Children are divided into three groups: <ul> <li>Preschool</li> <li>Grade 1</li> <li>Grade 2</li> </ul> </li> <li>Each group has 2–3 instructors</li> </ul> <p>There is no after-school activity:</p> <ul> <li>During school holidays</li> <li>On Saturdays (for example, spring festival day 30 May 2026)</li> <li>On public holidays</li> </ul> <hr></hr> <h2>Communication</h2> <p>Phone number: <strong>040 5762208</strong><br/> Please use this number for all messages (text messages).</p> <hr></hr> <h2>Important Instructions for Parents</h2> <ul> <li>Inform weekly attendance <strong>by Friday of the previous week</strong> (by text message).</li> <li>Inform us if: <ul> <li>Your child is sick</li> <li>Plans change suddenly</li> <li>Your child visits a friend</li> </ul> </li> <li>Inform if someone else picks up your child.</li> <li>You can also tell us if a trusted person (e.g. older sibling, grandparent) can always pick up the child.</li> </ul> <p>Please always clearly tell:</p> <ul> <li>Who picks up your child</li> <li>If the child goes home alone (walking or by bus)</li> </ul> <p>If we do not have information, we only give the child to the guardian.</p> <hr></hr> <h2>Child’s Needs</h2> <ul> <li>Inform about special needs (for example allergies or illnesses).</li> <li>When picking up your child, make sure the instructor knows the child has left.</li> </ul> <hr></hr> <h2>Clothing and Equipment</h2> <ul> <li>Bring spare clothes with your child (with name labels).</li> <li>Children must have weather-appropriate clothing.</li> <li>We go outside <strong>twice every day</strong>, in all weather.</li> </ul> <hr></hr> <h2>Mobile Devices</h2> <ul> <li>Phones and smart devices must stay in the school bag.</li> <li>This also includes smart watches with calling functions.</li> <li>If you need anything, contact the instructors.</li> </ul> <hr></hr> <h2>Fees</h2> <ul> <li>Full-time: <strong>80 € per month</strong></li> <li>Part-time (max. 10 days/month): <strong>40 € per month</strong></li> </ul> <p>Parents must make sure the 10 days are not exceeded.</p> <hr></hr> <h2>Clubs</h2> <p>Children in after-school activities can also attend school clubs.<br/> We guide them based on your instructions.</p> <p>Please inform us:</p> <ul> <li>Which club your child attends</li> <li>Any schedule changes</li> </ul> <hr></hr> <h2>Pick-up</h2> <ul> <li>After 15:30, children are usually outside</li> <li>Pick-up happens mainly from the school yard</li> </ul> <p>Before that:</p> <ul> <li>Preschool: own area downstairs</li> <li>Grades 1–2: own area upstairs</li> <li>Entrance: door B</li> </ul> <hr></hr> <h2>More Information</h2> <p>Head instructor: Outi Portti<br/> Phone: <strong>0400 278 246</strong></p> 2026-06-09T08:41:44+03:00
