The lecturer also emphasizes the fact that in the strategic part of the Finnish core curriculum is also a special chapter of general support for learning. It includes student welfare, support for learning, guidance, and support for students with disabilities. This part of the core curriculum states, that in addition to the curricular elements for each subject, there also must be a plan for guidance – what are the goals, values, and how it is delivered, and what are the responsibilities of each staff member in school.
