Kaksi opettajaamme kävi tutustumassa Kreikassa, Nafpliossa 4th Primary School of Nafplio -kouluun osana job shadowing -toimintaa. Samaan aikaan koululla oli vierailulla myös turkkilainen Erasmus-ryhmä oppilaineen ja opettajineen.

Viikon aikana seurattiin ja osallistuttiin erilaisille oppitunneille. Opettajamme pääsivät myös itse opettamaan kreikkalaisia oppilaita. He esittelivät Suomea ja Kyösti Kallion koulua ja pitivät draamakasvatuksen oppitunteja.

Opettajamme osallistuivat kolmelle opintoretkelle eri ikäisten kreikkalaisten oppilaiden kanssa. Viidesluokkalaiset esittelivät vieraille Nafplion vanhaa kaupunkia ja sen historiaa. Neljäsluokkalaisten kanssa käytiin tutustumassa Muinaiseen Epidaurokseen ja suurimpaan antiikin ajan teatteriin. Kolmasluokkalaisten kanssa tehtiin retki Muinaiseen Mykeneen. Kahdella viimeksi mainitulla retkellä oli mukana opas, joka kertoi paikkojen historiasta niin mukana olleille oppilaille kuin vieraillekin.

Koulupäivien päätyttyä osa kreikkalaisista opettajista vei meidän opettajiamme tutustumaan myös Nafplioa ympäröiviin kyliin ja maisemiin. Illallisilla kreikkalaisten kollegoiden kanssa oli aikaa keskustella mm. maidemme koulujärjestelmien eroavaisuuksista sekä niiden hyvistä ja kehitettävistä puolista. Viikko kreikkalaisten vieraana oli hyvin antoisa ja opettavainen.

JOB SHADOWING NAFPLIO, GREECE 10.-13.3.2025

Two of our teachers visited the 4th Primary School of Nafplio in Nafplio, Greece, as part of a job shadowing activity. At the same time, a Turkish Erasmus group with students and teachers was also visiting the school.

During the week, we observed and participated in various lessons. Our teachers also got to teach Greek students themselves. They introduced Finland and Kyösti Kallio School and held drama lessons.

Our teachers participated in three study trips with Greek students of different ages. The fifth graders introduced the guests to the old town of Nafplio and its history. The fourth graders visited Ancient Epidaurus and the largest Ancient Theatre in Greece. The third graders went on a trip to Ancient Mycenae. On the last two trips, a guide was with them to tell about the history of the places to both the students and the guests.

After the school days, some of the Greek teachers took our teachers to explore the villages and landscapes surrounding Nafplio. During dinners with the Greek colleagues, we had time to discuss, among other things, the differences in the school systems of our countries and their good and developing aspects. The week spent as a guest of the Greeks was very rewarding and educational.
