1. “I packed my bag” This is a classic memory game, and it’s best played by two or more people. The objective of the game is to remember as many items as possible, and better yet if it’s in order! Each person should start by saying: “I packed my bag…”, followed by the name of a school supply to add to their imaginary bags. The first person obviously starts with an item, the second should mention the first item, and add a second, and so forth. The list is going to become longer and longer, and the game ends when someone forgets an item. It’s a really fun game for the whole family, and the perfect opportunity to go over the name of school supplies in English.

1st person, for example: "I packed my bag and I put in a pencil."
2nd person: "I packed my bag and I put in a pencil, and a stapler." and so on.

Play "Vocabulary Basketball"
You can finish class with a fun game which will review vocab from this lesson as well as previous lessons. You will need a basket (a wastepaper basket or box or... ) and 2 balls (2 pieces of A4 paper scrunched up into a ball, or bean bags or... ). Also, have flashcards for the vocab from this lesson as well as previous lessons - shuffle them well.

Form 2 teams and line them up so that two players from each team are facing the front with the basket in front of them. Let both players throw their ball - if they get their ball into the basket they can try and win a point by saying the correct word of the flashcard you hold up. Then they go to the back of the line. Play until all of the flashcards have been answered correctly - the team with the most points is the winner!

Guess my drawing! Another classic game that the little ones love! In this game, which is played in a group, the objective is to guess the name of whatever drawing one of the player is making. You will need just a whiteboard and a board marker, or blank paper and some pencils. To play, cut some small pieces of paper and write on each one the name of a school supply. Fold the papers and put them inside a bag. Then, have one person per turn take one paper -the rest shouldn’t look at it!- and he or she must draw the item in the paper on the board. The rest of the group will have to try to guess what item is it while it’s being drawn. The person who guesses more drawings will win! This game is fun to play with the whole family, or even at school with friends.

Touch the Classroom Object

Have everyone stand up in the middle of the classroom. Teacher gives a command (e.g. "Touch the door!") and everyone must run to the door and touch it. This should be a quick and exciting game.

After a few rounds, feel free to add other words that have been covered in previous lessons (ex. colors, body parts, etc.)

Play Musical Circle Touch

Tell everyone to close their eyes. Walk up to one of the objects (e.g. the window, the door, a desk) and knock twice on it. Encourage the students to shout out what they think you are knocking on. After they are through guessing, they can open their eyes to check.

Then pair up your students and get them to play "Knock-knock" together.

The Vanishing Object Game

This is great fun. Set up the classroom so there are various objects visible, e.g. a book, a school bag, a chair, pens, pencils, an eraser, a stapler, a calculator, etc. - basically whatever vocab you have pre-taught. Give the students a minute to look at the objects. Students will close their eyes and one object will be removed (perhaps also shuffle the other objects for more of a challenge). Students try to guess what object was removed.
