Lecture 2 Discussion on readings

Lecture 2 focuses on Choo's article about information model of organizations. Students pick up the buzz words and comment on the article. You will learn, that the reason why people tend to choose the satisfying way instead of optimal way is because being optimal is time consuming and it requires for critical thinking. At the end of the lecture you will learn that also an organization can have its own cognitive style and it reacts to the environment in either passive or active way.

Before any lecture either open or save to your computer the assigned PowerPoint presentations.

Assignment before the lecture: Read the following article, which is a good overview of several approaches on organizations based on the information model of organizations.
